Simple Accu Indicator Circuit Diagram

The battery indicator can monitor the voltage on the car battery. The indicator has four LEDs that indicate the voltage. The more LEDs, the higher the voltage. The last LED is a blinking LED. This lights up when the battery voltage exceeds the limit of about 15 V.

This is a sign that something is wrong with the alternator or voltage regulator. The other LEDs light up respectively at 9 V (D5: bad battery), 11 V (D7: battery doubtful) and 13 V (D9: battery ok).Build the the activation points above. Circuit and verify If the measured values are much different from the above, try other Zener diodes. Zeners 300 mW are sufficient for the circuit.

Simple Temperature Indicator Circuit Diagram for heatsinks

The circuit is simplicity itself, two different zener diodes, D1 and D2, are attached in series to ensure an accurate zener voltage of 5.96V at 25° Centigrade. The zener voltage will upward thrust through 20 mV for each stage Centigrade upward thrust in temperature.
The voltage stage is comparable to the temperature of the heat-sink is  when compared with two reference volt- a long time through IC1 and lC2. when the temperature reaches 50° Centigrade the output of lC2 is going high so T3 behaviors and causes D4 to gentle and on the same time D5 is extinguished through T4.
At or above 75° Centigrade the output of  lC1 is high and T2  then behavior to make D3 gentle and D4 extinguish. beneath customary stipulations, that may be, considering a heat-sink of enough cooling house, a temperature of 75° Centigrade seriously isnt reached. Parent 2 displays the Pd/PO (max) relation among the facility dissipation of a ciass B amplifier and its effective energy output PO (max) below customary condictions. The pressure signal is a sine wave. The effect of the quiescent present on the dissipation has been ignored. its noticed in parts checklist

12V battery indicator level

indicatorThe following sequence is useful to show the battery voltage (battery) 12 volts. Voltage level is shown with four lights led. To facilitate the reading of the led is arranged in a vertical array. Led top three chosen by the green LED while the lowest is selected the color red. If the battery voltage continues to decline (because of usage), the Led-Led will turn off sequentially from the top to the bottom.

Until if battery voltage is below 11.83 volts then only the red LED that lights up which means that the charge batteries are empty. Even this red Led will die if the stress continues to drop to below 11.5 volts. The working principle of this circuit is a comparison of battery voltage with a reference voltage.

Power On Indicator

Power On Indicator Circuit Diagram. Some types of electronic equipment do  not provide any indication that they are  actually on when they are switched on.  This situation can occur when the back-light of a display is switched off. In addition, the otherwise mandatory mains  power  indicator  is  not  required  with  equipment  that  consumes  less  than  10 watts. As a result, you can easily forget  to switch off such equipment. If you want  to know whether equipment is still drawing power from the mains, or if you want  to have an indication that the equipment  is switched on without having to modify the equipment, this schema provides a solution.

image

One way to detect AC power current and  generate a reasonably constant voltage  independent of the load is to connect a  string of diodes wired in reverse parallel in series with one of the AC supply  leads. Here we selected diodes rated  at 6 A that can handle a non-repetitive  peak current of 200 A. The peak current  rating is important in connection with  switch-on  currents.  An  advantage  of  the selected diodes is that their voltage  drop increases at high currents (to 1.2 V  at 6 A). This means that you can roughly  estimate the power consumption from  the brightness of the LED (at very low  power levels). The voltage across the diodes serves as  the supply voltage for the LED driver. To  increase the sensitivity of the schema, a  cascade schema (voltage doubler) consisting of C1, D7, D8 and C2 is used to double  the voltage from D1–D6. Another benefit  of this arrangement is that both halve- waves of the AC current are used. We use  Schottky diodes in the cascade schema to  minimise the voltage losses.

Circuit diagram :
Power On Indicator-Circuit-Diagram
Power On Indicator Circuit Diagram

The LED driver is designed to operate the LED  in blinking mode. This increases the amount  of current that can flow though the LED when  it is on, so the brightness is adequate even  with small loads. We chose a duty cycle of pproximately 5 seconds off and 0.5 second  on. If we assume a current of 2 mA for good  brightness with a low-current LED and we can  tolerate a 1-V drop in the supply voltage, the  smoothing capacitor (C2) must have a value of  1000 µF. We use an astable multivibrator built around two transistors to implement a  high-efficiency LED flasher. It is dimensioned to minimise the drive current of  the transistors. The average current consumption is approximately 0.5 mA with a  supply voltage of 3 V (2.7 mA when the  LED is on; 0.2 mA when it is off). C4 and  R4 determine the on time of the LED (0.5  to 0.6 s, depending on the supply volt-age). The LED off time is determined by  C3 and R3 and is slightly less than 5 seconds. The theoretical value is R × C × ln2,  but the actual value differs slightly due to  the low supply voltage and the selected  component values.

Diodes D1-D6 do not have to be special  high-voltage diodes; the reverse volt-age is only a couple of volts here due  the reverse-parallel arrangement. This  voltage drop is negligible compared to  the value of the mains voltage. The only  thing you have to pay attention to is the  maximum load. Diodes with a higher  current rating must be used above 1 kW.  In addition, the diodes may require cool-ing at such high power levels.  Measurements on D1–D6 indicate that  the voltage drop across each diode is  approximately 0.4 V at a current of 1 mA.  Our aim was to have the schema give a  reasonable indication at current levels  of 1 mA and higher, and we succeeded  nicely. However, it is essential to use a  good low-current LED.

Caution: the entire schema is at AC power potential. Never work on the schema with the mains cable plugged in. The  best enclosure for the schema is a small,  translucent box with the same colour as  the LED. Use reliable strain reliefs for the  mains cables entering and leaving the  box (connected to a junction box, for  example). The LED insulation does not  meet the requirements of any defined insulation class, so it must be fitted such that it  cannot be touched, which means it cannot  protrude from the enclosure.

Six LED Bar Power Indicator

This device, connected to the loudspeaker output of an audio amplifier, will indicate the instantaneous output power delivered to the loudspeaker(s) by means of six LEDs illuminating one after another by voltage values increasing little by little, providing the visual impression of a luminous bar or column, increasing and decreasing in height following the increase and decrease of the signals level. The input signal is first rectified by D1 and then sent to six different voltage dividers, one for each LED. In this way, the indication provided by the LEDs illumination of this "Power Display", will be related to the instantaneous power sunk by the whole loudspeaker cabinet.Six output power levels are displayed by the LEDs in a 2W - 80W range (no setup required). Each nominal power level indication into 8 Ohms load is reached when the respective LED illuminates at full brightness.

Fuel Reserve Indicator For Vehicles

Fuel Reserve Indicator For Vehicles Circuit Diagram . Here is a simple schema for monitoring the fuel level in vehicles. It gives an audiovisual indication when the fuel level drops alarmingly below the reserve level, helping you to avoid running out of petrol on the way. Nowadays vehicles come with a dash-mounted fuel gauge meter that indicates the fuel levels on an analogue display. The ‘reserve’ level is indicated by a red marking in some vehicles, but the needle movement through the red marking may be confusing and not precise. This schema monitors the fuel tank below the reserve level and warns through LED indicators and audible beeps when the danger level is approaching.

Fuel Reserve Indicator For Vehicles Circuit Diagram :

Fuel Reserve Indicator For Vehicles Circuit diagram
Fuel Reserve Indicator For Vehicles Circuit Diagram

The fuel sensor system consists of a tank-mounted float sensor and a current meter (fuel meter), which are connected in series. The float-driven sensor attached to an internal rheostat offers high resistance when the tank is empty. When the tank is full, the resistance decreases, allowing more current to pass through the meter to give a higher reading. The fuel monitoring schema works by sensing the voltage variation developed across the meter and activates the beeper when the fuel tank is almost empty. Its point A is connected to the input terminal of the fuel meter and point B is connected to the body of the vehicle. The schema consists of an op-amp IC CA3140 (IC1), two 555 timer ICs (IC2 and IC3) and decade counter CD4017 (IC4).

Op-amp IC CA3140 is wired as a voltage comparator. Its inverting input (pin 2) receives a reference voltage controlled through VR1. The non-inverting input (pin 3) receives a variable voltage tapped from the input terminal of the fuel meter through resistor R1. When the voltage at pin 3 is higher han at pin 2, the output of IC1 goes high and the green LED (LED1) glows. This condition is maintained until the voltage at pin 3 drops below that at pin 2. When this happens, the output of IC1 swings from high to low, sending a low pulse to the trigger pin of the monostable (usually held high by R3) via C1. The monostable triggers and its output goes high for a predetermined time based on the values of R5 and C2. With the given values, the ‘on’ time will be around four minutes.

The output of IC2 is used to power the astable schema consisting of timer 555 (IC3) via diode D2. Oscillations of IC3 are controlled by R6, R7, VR2 and C4. With the given values, the ‘on’ and ‘off’ time periods are 27 and 18 seconds, respectively. The pulses from IC3 are given to the clock input (pin 14) of decade counter CD4017 (IC4) and its outputs go high one by one. When the schema is switched on, LED1 and LED2 glow if your vehicle has sufficient petrol in the tank.

When the fuel goes below the reserve level, the output of IC1 goes low, LED1 turns off and a negative triggering pulse is received at pin 2 of IC2. The output of IC2 goes high for around four minutes and during this time period, clock pin 14 of IC4 receives the clock pulse (low to high) from the output of IC3. For the first clock pulse, Q0 output of IC4 goes high and the green LED (LED2) glows for around 50 seconds. On receiving the second clock pulse, Q1 goes high to light up the yellow LED (LED3) and sound the buzzer for around 45 seconds. This audio-visual signal warns you that the vehicle is running out of fuel. On receiving the third clock pulse, LED3 and the buzzer go off. There is a gap of around two-and-a-half minutes before Q5 output goes high.

By the time Q5 goes high and the red LED (LED4) glows, four minutes elapse and the power supply to IC3 is cut off. The output state at Q5 will not change unless a low-to-high clock input is received at its pin 14. Thus LED4 will glow continuously along with the beep. The continuous glowing of the red LED (LED4) and the beep from the buzzer indicate that the vehicle will run out of fuel very shortly. Q6 output of IC4 is connected to its reset pin 15 via diode D3. This means that after ‘on’ state of Q5, the count will always start from Q0. Capacitor C5 provides power-on reset to IC4 when switch S1 is closed. The output of IC1 is also connected to reset pin of IC4 via diode D1 (1N4148). So when your vehicle is refueled above the reserve level, LED2 glows to indicate that the tank has sufficient fuel.

IC5 provides regulated 12V DC for proper functioning of the schema even when the battery is charged to more than 12V. The schema can be assembled on a perforated board. Adjust VR1 until the voltage at pin 2 of IC1 drops to 1.5V. When point A is connected to the fuel meter (fuel gauge) terminal that goes to the fuel sensor, green LEDs (LED1 and LED2) glow to indicate the normal fuel level. VR2 can be varied to set the ‘on’ time period of IC3 at around 20 seconds. Enclose the schema in a small case and mount on the dashboard using adhesive tape. The schema works only in vehicles with negative grounding of the body.
